Sun, 30 July 2006 This is podcast #44 brought to you direct from the middle of the Smokey Mountain National Park. Myself and Troy headed out on friday morning and went east toward the mountains. Our intent was to get away from internet, phones, meetings, and computers to be able to focus and plan for the next coming year. It's our way of keeping focus and having a little bit of "brother" time fun as well. We may have found our new little hobby in hiking too! Hope all of you are doing well and don't forget to visit Beatmart.com and let us hear from you at wrgopodcast@gmail.com or info@beatmart.com. B's up!Comments[5] |
Mon, 10 July 2006 Today is the official launch of the single from Soul P.'s The Premiere album. The single is entitled "Whoa Whoa!" and is the first of many singles off of The Premiere record. We're hugely excited and hope that you share in our excitement in this first of many singles. Let us know what you think. Give us you thoughts, comments, questions, etc. at wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Hope everyone's doing well and enjoying their summer. Mine hasn't been much of one! :-) B's up!Comments[8] |
Sat, 1 July 2006 This is a takeover! A couple of rabid young fans have a chance to bring the up and coming behind the scenes Beatmart news. It comes from a different perspective that's not yet been heard from some young fans. Enjoy the show from a different angle! Let us hear from you and what you think. wrgopodcast@gmail.com. The picture to the right is of (from left) Troy, Todd, & Soul P. at the Soul P. photo shoot last June. B's up!Comments[43] |
Thu, 25 May 2006 It's been quite a long time since I did a podcast . . . too long, in fact. I'm in the process of being emmersed in the Soul P. record and believe me, it's going to be a "doosey." This podcast is one that is to hopefully get everyone caught up on the latest behind the scenes and an inside look via questions. Keep sending in those questions in both text and audio formats. Let us know what you think of the sample of the BoSv.3 song included in the podcast. wrgopodcast@gmail.com.Comments[3] |
Sun, 7 May 2006 Here's #40 with a studio update on how Soul P.'s "The Premier" is going. I only wanted to do a short update and keep it quick. However, I got a bit carried away being with Big E out in LabWest. E makes a quick appearance in this episode and gets me to get on one of my "soapbox" issues. Let me hear from you guys at: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Shoot me your questions, comments, or audio in question or song form. It may get played on the show! Hope all's well. God bless and B's up!Comments[2] |
Fri, 5 May 2006 Here's a podcast all about recent touring, and my Los Angeles trip! Ran into Laura Prepor from That Seventies Show, Chris Masterson from Malcom in the Middle, Jose Canseco, Anthony Federov, and of course got to work with the Dawaun "Amadeus Most Art" Parker from Aftermath! The photo is of me, Mateo Laborio, and Dawaun "Amadeus" Parker. Comments[3] |
Mon, 1 May 2006 This is the OFFICIAL word on Soul P. Listen in on what we (myself and Soul P. himself) talk about at the end of GMA week this past April. Soul is officially the newest member of the Beatmart squad and look for his debut release "The Premier" in late December of '06. It's going to be a serious hot one on the Beatmart release list . . . maybe the hottest! Let us know what you think or send questions, comments, or audio mp3's to; wrgopodcast@gmail.com. B's up!Comments[3] |
Mon, 27 March 2006 This is a location podcast from Panama City, Florida, the place I like to call the "Redneck Riviera" (sorry to all of you guys that live in that area. It's just a joke). I love coming down here because it's beautiful and very relaxing and actually, the living standard is starting to pick up due to the local chamber of commerce. At any rate, this show is under 15 minutes long and showcases an independent artist named Fedel. He's a long time supporter of Beatmart's artists and Beatmart.com. Hope you enjoy the show and please hit me up with your questions, comments, and pictures to wrgopodcast@gmail.com. The picture is the view from our spot on the relatively secluded beach.Comments[3] |
Wed, 22 March 2006 What's up y'all. Today is a long cast of over 30 minutes. I did some updates from a news perspective, but really the brundt of the cast is answering questions. We had a ton of people send in some great questions and I ended up choosing the ones that I liked the best. Thanks to all of you for sending in the great questions. Keep them coming to wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Send in your pictures, comments, audio questions or songs, etc. Ya never know; it may get some airplay! I can now use pictures in the podcast since it's now considered an enhanced podcast. So send in some pix. I'm currently getting ready to go with the family to the beach right before GMA week gets here. I need the rest, and I'm certainly going to need it with GMA on the horizon. Hope everyone is well. Until next time. B's up!Comments[3] |
Mon, 13 March 2006 This podcast was done a few days ago, but there's some good information in this as well as some pertinent advice coming from the "work horse" himself. As you'll hear in this podcast, Bobby seems to be doing pretty well. I DO know that he's staying extremely busy as you can see in his touring schedule at bobbybishop.com or at beatmart.com. As for me, things are as busy as ever. The DJ Morph submissions mixtape is moving along nicely and we'll certainly keep you updated as it progresses. Let us hear from you at wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Mon, 6 March 2006 Okay, so it's been since Valentine's Day that I've done a podcast. Things have been crazy around here in Beatmart land. Today is a full update cast, a bit of experimentation, and a little controversy thrown in. Also, if you listen to this podcast in itunes, you'll see that it is enhanced with photos as you listen. It's a relatively new feature that I thought was pretty cool. At any rate, I'm not so sure I liked recording the podcast in this new format, so I may switch back to the old way of doing it in the "on the fly" radio format. We'll just have to see. The main thing is I don't really care for the sound quality of this podcast, but I'll let you guys speak into that process. Let me know what you think at: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Sorry for taking so long to get this out to you. I'm going to try and make it a much shorter interim period between airings. The above photo is of my late grandfather Thomas M. Collins. He was an evangelist/pastor for the majority of his life. He was highly respected by his peers, including his friend Billy Graham. Thought I'd share that with you because I dig the photo. Hope all's well with everyone and don't forget to go pick up Fresh Digress starting March, 7th, 2006! B's up!Comments[4] |
Tue, 14 February 2006 Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours. Hope everyone's doing well. I haven't brought you a podcast in almost a month! My most sincere apologies. I've missed being away on business and getting ready for the upcoming releases starting March 7th. Don't forget to check us out at beatmart.com for the most up to date news and downloads. Also, let us hear from you! Send your questions, comments, and audio questions in mp3 form to: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Hope to hear from you guys soon! The picture is of me and my little 7 year old valentine.Comments[3] |
Fri, 3 February 2006 Here's a short update to let you guys know what's going on currently with Bobby B. He's been hugely busy and on his serious grind to make things happen. As a result, it's starting to pay very big dividends. In this podcast, he's also got a great word for us all to hear so take a listen and enjoy. Oh much to my shigrin, he stuck an unfinished song at the beginning of the podcast. It's a song from his upcoming EP that we're currently in the middle of. Let us know what you think at wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Visit Bobby at bobbybishop.com and come see everybody at beamart.com! We'd love to hear from you. The picture to the right is of Soul P working out in LabWest. Stay tuned for some big things coming from him as well. B's up!Comments[7] |
Tue, 17 January 2006 It's been a minute since I've done an extensive WRGO podcast. I figured that today needed to be the "catch up day" for updating the cast. It seems the farther we go down this road, the busier I become (thank the Lord). It seems the hours in the day keep getting shorter and shorter and I don't get to accomplish all that I've set out to do in a given day. At any rate, I'm doing my best to keep this ship steered in the right direction and keep you as updated behind the scenes as humanly possible. Thanks for all of the latest questions and comments that many of you have sent in. Keep them coming! Contact us at: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Don't forget to go to beatmart.com and pre-order your favorite record before it hits the streets! Lastly, the picture is of Bobby Bishop and his new born daughter Isa. Don't forget "Government Name" by Bobby Bishop, in stores now!Comments[3] |
Wed, 28 December 2005 Merry after-Christmas and happy pre-new year! This is a very short and informal show to basically round out the year. 2006 is going to be a great year for Christian hip hop and Beatmart in particular. We're expecting great things and pray that you will continue to keep us in your prayers for the '06 and beyond! Let us hear from you! We're getting low on questions and no one is sending in any audio questions. I hope that doesn't sound desperate. We just thrive off of feedback and interaction. Contact us at: info@beatmart.com OR wrgopodcast@gmail.com. We love hearing from you guys! The picture is of the "world famous" DJ Morphiziz hosting the Winter Jam in Miami. Here's to a great upcoming 2006! B's up!Comments[57] |
Sun, 18 December 2005 Here's podcast #32. This is an on location cast from Miami, Florida. We were there as a result of my man Gino Vela and the Winter Jam. On the bill was Japhia, Rob Hodge, and the show was hosted by DJ Morphiziz. It was a huge success! We also have info dealing with the Beat Summit in the '06 summer. The dates are July 22-27 to be exact. Hope everyone's good and has a great Christmas! Remember the reason for the season. Love to all. Contact us at wrgopodcast@gmail.com or info@beatmart.com. The picture is of DJ Morphiziz runnin' the show at Winter Jam in Miami. B's up!Comments[3] |
Tue, 13 December 2005 It's been a while since I brought you guys a formal WRGO podcast. My sincere apologies. I'm going to be getting another one to you guys once I return from Winterfest in Miami. Should be a really good time to see Japhia, Rob, and DJ Morphiziz rock a show down there. Until then, here's a great short and to the point podcast from my man Bobby Bishop. He has some great things to say from a spiritual perspective and also catches you up on what's really goin' on in his world and the world of Beatmart. The photo to the right is of me and Big E in the Big Apple on Park Ave. Until next time, . . . B's up!Comments[1] |
Tue, 29 November 2005 Whew! Thanksgiving is over! I had WAY too much to eat, as did you I'm assuming. At any rate, after a 2 week hiatus from a WRGO show, I'm trying to fit in a ton of info into about 20 minutes. It didn't work! The show ended up being about 27 minutes. However, there's a lot of cool stuff going on and I tried to cover the brunt of it. The radio station is up and running and fully functional! Let us know what you think at wrgopodcast@gmail.com. You can also contact us directly at the label at info@beatmart.com. Hope you had a great Thanksgiving and let's keep Christ in the holidays. The picture is of myself and Michael Ripoll during a guitar session for the boys in Fresh Digress. Enjoy! B's up!Comments[0] |
Wed, 16 November 2005 This is installment number four for our "traveling" man Bobby Bishop. In this podcast you get to hear from DJ Bombay and Bobby's hype-man M-Lotto. He's giving us a rundown of everything that's happened in the days past while he's been out on the road. Check him out and let him know what you think. Contact us at wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Visit Bobby at bobbybishop.com. And holler at us at beatmart.com. Send us your audio questions, comments, or feedback. The photo is of a live shot of Bobby at a show in Owensboro, Kentucky. Until next time . . . B's up!Comments[2] |
Wed, 9 November 2005 This is podcast #30! I can't believe I'm up to that many! At any rate, this one is a good one! This one is geared for the group of ladies that are in Texas currently in college and helping out with the Katrina effort. They sent in some very pointed questions that were not exactly easy to answer to say the least. Listen in to what they have to say and how I try to meander through them without looking like a total idiot! Also, there are two exclusive songs in this cast that have literally never before been heard until now. Let me know what you think. Give me your feedback, comments, and questions at: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. In other news, Beatmart just finalized our deal with Provident Sony/BMG Distribution! That means that we can formally announce our release dates to the public. I know this is something that a lot of you have been waiting on. Well, wait no more! Let us hear from you! B's up! The photo to the right (in case you couldn't tell) is of me and Troy when we were very young . . . a LONG time ago! Don't hate.Comments[4] |
Fri, 28 October 2005 Here's installment number 3 of the "Bobby-cast." B Bish is here letting you know what's going on in his neighborhood, fills you in on what's going on in his career, and drops a bit of knowledge on you spiritually. Show Bobby some love and let him know what you think of his contributions to "What's Really Goin' On." Hit us up at wrgopodcast@gmail.com or leave a comment here. Check out Bobby at: bobbybishop.com or find other info, pictures, dates, etc. at: beatmart.com. God bless and B's up!Comments[2] |
Mon, 24 October 2005 After about a 10 day hiatus, I FINALLY got around to doing another podcast. Sorry for the delay in bringing this to you. Things have been moving at a rapid pace, and I've found myself under the weather as you'll be able to hear in the podcast. Give us your feedback, questions, comments, and songs for review at wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Also, check out the Beatmart.com home page for updates, information, and now contests! We want to hear from you! God Bless & B's up! In case you're wondering what the picture is, it's me when I'm a toddler. Don't laugh!Comments[3] |
Mon, 10 October 2005 Here's the second edition of our own Bobby Bishop and a look into what he's into up in the Northeast. We're trying to get Bobby to do a weekly update here at "What's Really Goin' On." Let us know what you think at wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Send us your questions, comments, and/or songs for review. To catch more from Bobby, go to bobbybishop.com. Also, for other insider info, go to beatmart.com. The picture is of Bobby rockin' a live set in Texas. B's up!Comments[3] |
Wed, 5 October 2005 Today is Wednesday around 5:30 pm. I wanted to get a podcast in before I leave to go to Los Angeles. I fly out of Nash-vegas tomorrow morning extremely early! I'll be in LA until sunday for meetings pertaining to Beatmart, of course. I'm meeting with some film and television people that are interested in our song catalog, so pray that God has favor on me while I'm out there. I may even do an "on location" podcast while I'm there, so if you guys are interested in what's going on on the left coast, send me an email to wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Who knows, I may end up recording something for you guys out there. Congrats goes out to my man Pettidee for being completely finished with the "Thug Love" record! It's a smash and we, at Beatmart, are extremely excited about the launch. Singles start dropping on October the 15th, so be on the lookout! It's about to get hectic! The picture to the right is just a FEW of the many sneakers in the ever building sneaker collection I'm speaking of in the podcast. Let me know what you think! B's up!Comments[3] |
Mon, 3 October 2005 Today our guest host is Beatmart's own Bobby Bishop. We're going to start having him, and hopefully other Beatmart artists, do a weekly podcast that will be posted here on "What's Really Goin' On." These guest hosts will be in ADDITION to the regular programs that you're already used to. I'm not going anywhere! We just want to try and bring you even more of what's going on behind the scenes, so we hope you're ready and willing. This podcast is a window into Bobby's background, his ministry, and how he got started. For more info on Bobby, check out Beatmart.com and BobbyBishop.com. Big ups to my man Bobby and the whole Northeast contingency! B's up!Comments[4] |
Thu, 22 September 2005 Alright y'all, we've got info and updates dujour. Be on the lookout for many positive changes in Beatmart Recordings and Beatmart.com. Keep checking out the front page of Beatmart.com for continuous updates and information. Let us know what you think of the "new editions" slated to be added in the coming days. Contact us at wrgopodcast@gmail.com with your questions, comments, and multi-media. We want to hear from you! Congratulations goes to Pettidee for becoming the newest Beatmart family member! Petti led the way as "player/coach" in the ATF live event and did an amazing job! Be on the lookout for some video footage put together by our own Altarego. He's continuously working to get the media compiled and put together to present directly to you. That'll be coming to you soon. The picture to the right is of my man K-drama performing live at Rapfest in New York. B's up, y'all! Holler!Comments[4] |
Mon, 12 September 2005 Here's podcast #26. It's actually hard for me to believe that there have been this many . . . but in any case there has! This is a "catch up" podcast to really kind of get back into the swing of things and get caught up on the happenings at Beatmart. We've got quite a big week this week so I ask that you keep us in your prayers as we prepare for the Aquire the Fire event out in Texas. We're going to be in rehearsals until we leave on wednesday at midnight. This podcast updates you on that event, answers some submitted questions, and even plays a very relevant song for what we're currently going through with our country right now. The picture is of my man Pee Wee Callins from a previous photo shoot. I play one of his songs in the cast that I think is very appropriate for the times. Keep the questions, comments, and songs for review coming to: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Thanks for listening and subscribing and keep us in your prayers. B's up!Comments[3] |
Sun, 11 September 2005 This is a picture montage from Peru set to music. This week will be what we at Beatmart call "band camp." We have our artist roster coming in to town to go Texas for a label-wide "showcase" for the Aquire the Fire organization. If all goes well with the collective performance, everybody will be on the ATF tour starting in the spring. This is a VERY important event for us as a label and for our individual artists. Please be praying for this event and for the guys on the label. We'll be bringing you updates as everybody convienes on Nashville starting on monday. I'll be bringing you a new and updated podcast in the next few days. Send me your questions, comments, or photos and songs to wrgopodcast@gmail.com. B's up!Comments[3] |
Tue, 30 August 2005 Okay, here it is! Finally, I'm back on track with getting another podcast out to you guys. This one is a peek back into my past Atlantic Records days. These songs dredge up a ton of old memorys and hopefully, interesting information and stories for you the listener. Back in these days I lived in Nashville, New York, and London. It was tough times, educational times, yet good memories. Let me know what you guys think. Hit me at wrgopodcast@gmail.com with your questions or comments. Hope you enjoy the show and B's up!Comments[6] |
Tue, 16 August 2005 This is the most important podcast that I've done to date. This is a series of short audio clips all put together to create one long podcast to try and show you, the listener, a portion of what it was like to be in the mission field. Even with us being "pampered" because we're not trained missionarys, we still saw the massive effects of what the disease of severe poverty can cause. We certainly have it more than good here in our own country. This was truly a life changing experience for myself and Troy, and we vow to do what we can as people and as a lable to help in the cause with our partners Food for the Hungy. If I ask of you one thing, I ask that you listen and try and stay informed and get involved. This eye-opening trip has made us realize that what we do is not all about music, artists, and selling records. What we experienced is truly what the kindom of God is all about. . . . loving and helping others less fortunate than ourselves. The picture is of the Port of Pucallpa at the banks of the Amazon river tributary. That place was like it was straight out of a movie set from about 1000 years ago. Hope you enjoy! It's good to be home! B's up!Comments[6] |
Tue, 9 August 2005 Today is the final day of preparation before we have to jet out tomorrow morning to Lima, Peru. I wanted to bring you one last, but short, podcast before we hit the amazon area. Hopefully, we'll be able to have enough connectivity to be able to bring you on location podcasts. If not, it will be well documented and then spliced together to bring you a "get up to date" podcast upon our return. I'll be taking pictures, video, audio . . . the works! I want you guys to live this one as closely as poosible, even though you can't be there with us. It should be a great time and educational as well. As usual, we'll be keeping you as closely informed as possible. Thanks for all your prayers and support and the next time you hear from the Beatmart crew will hopefully be from the Amazon! The picture is of Mike McGlaflin, Toby McKeehan, and myself at a resturant in downtown Nashville yesterday evening. We then went on to see a movie. We had a great time just having a "guys night out." B's up!Comments[3] |
Wed, 3 August 2005 Here's an interview conducted by SameOldJake during the time that Fresh Digress was in Nashville while they were recording. Enjoy! B's up!Comments[1] |
Tue, 2 August 2005 This one's a long podcast where you'll find announcements, exclusives, and an interview. There's even a surprise phone call from big money Troy. Tune in, sit back, relax and enjoy the questions and info. We had a great weekend with the man himself . . . Mr. Dkun Frost and his wife Jennifer. It was time spent building relationships, recording, and bonding. It's going to be a fruitful relationship to say the least. The Beatmart projects are coming along nicely. The Japhia Life record is almost mixed and finished. The Rob Hodge project is mixed, mastered, and almost ready for manufacturing. The Hymns record is done, and the Fresh Digress record is moving along nicely. In addition to all of that, we're getting started on the Dkun Frost project as you'll hear here. Thanks for tuning in. Hope you enjoy. The picture is of myself and Reality chillin' on the couch in the studio. B's up!Comments[8] |
Tue, 26 July 2005 I'M BACK . . . finally! After a week of non-recording activity, I've finally got my studio up and in running order again. As many of you know, I had to drop $800 to get things back the way they were. That's the nature of the beast. In this cast, you get an interview from Chris MC from Fresh Digress done by SameOldJake. Then you've got me rambling about virtually nothing for about 15 minutes. I think I've gotten to where I enjoy hearing myself talk . . . oh God, please help me! Anyway, get those questions and comments into wrgopodcast@gmail.com. I need some content help! Send in some ideas on what you guys may like to hear or see from behind the scenes. Don't be shy! It's good to finally be back, and hope you guys enjoy the show. The picture is from the FD photoshoot. We're all checkin' the photos to see what we have. I'll holler! B's up!Comments[37] |
Tue, 12 July 2005 This podcast #20 is a slight look into the history of Beatmart Recordings and a view into its future. This is for all of you "newbies" that either have just come and signed up at beatmart.com, or are just curious as to what we have going on. For all of you regular listeners, make our new members and guests feel welcome. Help make their experience an enjoyable one so, hopefully, they'll want to return. For you regulars, there's stuff in this cast for you as well. Enjoy the almost 30 minutes of music and behind the scenes information. We'll get back to the regular programming and updates on the Fresh Digress photo shoot and recording session on podcast #21. Send your questions, comments, and audio mp3's to: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Help us to continue to build this thing . . . we need your help! God bless and B's up!Comments[7] |
Sun, 10 July 2005 Here's podcast #19 . . . an interview with Pettidee done by SonofMack. Special thanks goes out to the Beatmods that came into town to help out on the Fresh Digress photo shoot. More info on that will be coming shortly. Theres enough info from this past week to fill more than a few of these podcasts! We're going to be bringing you all the details, interviews, events, and personel that was here. Believe me, you're going to want to stay tuned to here what went on. We even had some special guest appearances that showed up unexpectedly. Be on the lookout for soundbites, interviews, and info from a bevy of different sources and perspectives . . . not just mine. Thanks again for all the help from the "fellas" and special thanks to Eddy Boer for a great shoot. B's up!Comments[4] |
Fri, 1 July 2005 Here's part 2 of 2 in the mother of all WRGO podcasts. Don't forget to get those songs in for voting for the next submissions record. As it turns out, we're having a technical problem with our voting system according to our web service. The songs will be up for voting around the middle of the month of July. Hang in there, and get those songs in for submitting. Also, don't forget to keep sending in those mp3 questions and comments along with songs to be played on the air to wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Have a safe & wonderful fourth of July. More crazy news coming in the next podcast. B's up!Comments[9] |
Thu, 30 June 2005 This is it! This is the mother of all WRGO podcasts! It was so large that I had to break it up into a two part series. Part two will be posted tomorrow. This cast is was assisted once again by my man Troy Collins. It's chocked full of content, info, and exclusive music - all at over an hour long! So sit back, relax, strap in, and get comfortable and we hope you enjoy the show. Also, don't forget to get those submissions in for Best of the Submissions volume 3! We've started the whole process again and voting starts July 1st, so get 'em in! Lastly, the winner has been announced in the Big E Song Contest. Go to Beatmart.com to find out if you're the winner. B's up!Comments[7] |
Fri, 24 June 2005 Here's #17 right on the heels of #16 because we wanted you to hear and experience the heart of Rob Hodge. He answers the tough question that dealt with the "arrogance" issue. Son of Mack drops the hard and poignant questions that gives you the inside scoop. Thanks to J. Rippa for another hot track, eventhough it didn't have a hook and you guys know how I feel about hooks! :-) Get your songs in for the Big E contest by Sunday midnight. Plus, make sure you start getting in those submissions in for volume 3. Voting starts July 1st. Lastly, I want to say a special Happy Birthday to my brother and partner Troy Collins. He's 35 today, so you guys make sure and get on the message boards and wish him a happy birthday.Comments[4] |
Wed, 22 June 2005 Alright y'all, this is the end of a 5 day stretch in which we had the Philadelphia Flyers in town to do some photo shoots, recording, and relation building. Japhia Life, Rob Hodge, and Pettidee were all together at once to do some recording and be in front of the camera. Things went EXTREMELY well and the creative juices were flowing in more than a few ways. Thanks to all the guys that helped out in a bunch of different ways. I can't wait for you guys to see some of the shots we got of the fellas. They turned out extremely good! Hope this finds all of you doing well out there in "Beatmart land." The picture to the right is of J. Life, Me, and Petti outside of my studio. Don't forget to get those songs in by midnight on Sunday the 26th. B's up!Comments[16] |
Tue, 14 June 2005 This one's a shortened version just to keep you guys up to date on the happenings around Beatmart. This one is only about 7 and a half minutes long, so I hope you guys find it informative. Tons of stuff going on! Get those submissions via the cd in as of today! You can start sending in the songs to be judged for the first round starting July 1st! Also, get those songs in for the Big E song contest. Send those to: wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Please DO NOT send songs for the submission process to wrgopodcast@gmail.com. They will not get submitted for the contest! B's up!Comments[7] |
Sun, 12 June 2005 Alright guys, here's the downloadable song for the "Big E Song Contest." Download the song and do your version of a song with vocals on it, then send your version back to wrgopodcast@gmail.com to be voted on by myself and Big E. The winner will then be put in touch with "Mr. Nike" for some special gifts. Good luck, and remember the track will not be posted for very long so spread the word. B's up!Comments[33] |
Sat, 11 June 2005 This show is chocked full of music, info, questions, etc. Don't forget the "Big E Song Contest" for some Nike gear. Keep checking back here for the track that will be posted shortly. I've heard the track from Big E and it's cool, so I'll be interested to see what y'all come up with and who wins. Tons of stuff is going on with Beatmart. It really feels like there's a lot of stuff that's about to start poppin' off! With the Lord's will, there feels like there's a lot of successes in Beatmart's future. Keep us in your prayers . . . . we certainly need it. The picture is of some of the players on our men's indoor flag football team that went to the championship but lost! From left to right is: Rayna Stewart (former Tennessee Titan), Curtis Zackery (CZ from Best of the Submissions Vol. 2) Brent Rose (Franklin Police Dept.), & of course Me! Not pictured is; Kevin Dyson (Washington Redskins), Marcus Robertson (Tennessee Titans).Comments[25] |
Wed, 8 June 2005 This is #13 brought to you from the road in the car while traveling between meetings. I'm going to get you guys a more "professional" cast sometime in the next few days. The picture is even from the resturant that we were having a meeting at. There's a wifi hot spot in the resturant so even the upload is from the road. There's a ton of info in this one, so listen carefully. Hope you guys enjoy! Special mention goes out to Battleaxe. . . welcome back homie! B's up!Comments[14] |
Mon, 30 May 2005 What's happenin' y'all. Things have been crazy in the land of Beatmart lately with me traveling and finishing up a hymns record that myself and Big E started almost a year ago. The record comes out in September, thus the reason for me being out in Portland and in LabWest. Sorry for not updating the blog page in the last couple of days. I'll stay on that and keep you guys updated as to what's going on out here. In the mean time, keep the questions/comments coming and please let us know your thoughts and suggestions about the upcoming Beat Summit in Miami, FL next summer. Don't forget to check out Beatmart.com's message board if you'd like to pick up the Best of the Submissions Vol. 2 record before the release date. Hope you guys enjoy the Bobby Bishop interview. Check out his website at bobbybishop.com. The picture is a screen shot of one of the files that we're working on for the record on Big E's 23" cinema display. B's up!Comments[10] |
Wed, 25 May 2005 Alright y'all. I've seemingly done it yet again. I've eclipsed my record again for my longest podcast! This one comes in at 40 minutes, so I hope I don't lose your attention. I recorded this on location at our Beatmart offices in Brentwood, TN with a special guest. The reason for the long length in casting this evening is because of the many announcements pertaining to the business of Beatmart and upcoming events. Stay tuned and let us know your thoughts on the various topics, so send in those questions, comments, and mp3's to wrgopodcast@gmail.com. We want to hear from you! As for the secret society member that's perturbed with me; I know I can be selfish in my dealings and I apologize. Charge it to my head and not my heart. The picture is of our special guest that you'll be hearing more from in the future. Hope you enjoy and B's up!Comments[6] |
Sat, 21 May 2005 It's saturday and I finally got around to getting up another podcast. This one, however, is a long one so I hope I don't lose your attention. There's a lot of good content in today's show so I hope you enjoy it. Thanks goes out to all you guys who provided the great questions, both text and audio. As for the end Rob Hodge song; it's an exclusive song that will not be on his upcoming release, but I've always really liked the song so I wanted to share it with all of you. Congrats goes to my man Rob Hodge for being the latest official Beatmart soldier. Be ready for his record to drop on September 27th. It's going to be bananas! The picture is of my man Joe "Dashmandon" Dahlke from Cleveland, OH. It was a picture taken from his camera phone. The quality is not that great, but I told him I would post his picture. Send your HI-RES pictures to; wrgopodcast@gmail.com. Have a great weekend and B's up!Comments[4] |
Tue, 17 May 2005 This is not a podcast, but i wanted to throw this up here for you guys to enjoy. I was going through some of my old files and ran across this old song that I did with Pigeon John about 3 years ago. It never was placed on any record (for some reason), but I've always like the tune and the personality that Pigeon brings. I figured that since this is "behind the scenes," I may as well share it with you guys and get you to tell me what you think. I've always loved Pigeon and loved working with him. We've just never found the right situation for both of us to fall into place. Hope you enjoy this and hopefully, I'll be bringing you some more of this kind of thing soon. Let me know what you think at: wrgopodcast@gmail.com Comments[21] |
Mon, 16 May 2005 Not a ton going on today and this past weekend. We've got some crucial business meetings coming up that could be highly beneficial for us as a label. So please be in prayer for things to go well. Thanks again for all your prayers and support. Be on the lookout for the Beatmart.com website to be up around the first week of June. Our target date has been set for June 1st, but you guys know well that we've been saying that kind of thing for the last month and a half. As one of my secret society members once told me so eloquently, "talk is cheap!" We'll see if it's actually up on the target date. B's up!Comments[10] |
Wed, 11 May 2005 Today was an administrative day in which myself and Adrian Santos (our marketing guy) had a meeting with Jeff Roberts about getting our artists on the Shout Fest tour. We'll see how that goes. I feel like the meeting went pretty well, but you never really know about these things until it gets down to brass tax. It would be a huge boost to the moral of the artists on Beatmart. This whole urban music thing is a hard sell in our market and it has to be coupled with a ton of "education" to the gate keepers. It's an arduous process, but in the end, it's worth it. You guys pray for the career advancement of Bobby, Pee Wee, and Morph. They need it . . . we all need it! What's up goes out to the secret society. I'm thinkin' about you! :-) The picture is of the guys in Fresh Digress which I mentioned in the cast. ALSO, send me some pics of you guys. I'm running out of pictures and I'm tired of seeing my old tired mug up there. Send them to: wrgopodcast@gmail.comComments[5] |
Fri, 6 May 2005 Alright y'all . . . I'm coming at you from the 16th floor of the Paris Hotel in Las Vegas overlooking the Las Vegas Blvd. facing the Bellagio Hotel (see the picture, it's from one of my views in my hotel room). Anyway, we're having a restful and fun time. Hope you guys get some insight as to who my buddy Big E is. You guys don't really understand how powerful in the sports world that this guy truly is. Every time I'm around him, this fact never ceases to amaze me. He's truly revered by some serious heavy hitters. AND on top of all of that, he's an extremely talented musician as well. It almost doesn't seem fair. You guys holler at me! wrgopodcast@gmail.comComments[7] |
Mon, 2 May 2005 This is a special edition podcast that I hope you guys don't find too corny. A friend of mine wanted me to do this, and since it's "behind the scenes," I figured it would be a good idea. Anyway, this is pre-vacation podcast so I hope you enjoy it. It's literally something I threw together so please be easy. :-) Hope you cats have a good rest of the week, and I'll hopefully speak with you from vacation-land. The picture is of part of the inside of LabEast taken with my phone. I'll get some better pictures soon so you guys can see what it looks like. Sorry about the quality. B's up!Comments[11] |
Sat, 30 April 2005 Today was recouperation day from all of the admin stuff that had been going on with the Submissions record. Now, the only thing left is June 14th which is the street date of the record. Thanks for all the support and prayers. Don't forget Bobby's and Pee Wee's records are in stores now, so go check 'em out. The picture is of Pee Wee during part of a photo shoot. Until next time.Comments[3] |
Thu, 21 April 2005 After an extremely busy day as usual, I finally got around to getting another podcast out there. Hope you guys enjoy it and thanks for sending in the audio questions. We're closing in on the completion of the mixtape and have mastering scheduled for the 27th of this month. If I miss this deadline, we'll have to roll the record to a later release date. That can't happen or distribution will be in my junk! The picture is a mock-up of what I think we're going to go with for the cover of the mixtape. Hope you guys like it. Keep the questions and comments coming. B's up!Comments[7] |
Sat, 16 April 2005 It's Saturday and I'm still recovering from the hectic GMA schedule. Finally, a day to relatively rest. I'm back to the grind of getting the record done with DJ Morph. The picture to the right is of Manchild (who apparently sweats a lot) & K-Drama (an indie rapper from Cincinnati, OH) at the GMA event "Pass the Mic" last Monday night.Comments[1] |

This is podcast #44 brought to you direct from the middle of the Smokey Mountain National Park. B's up!
Today is the official launch of the single from Soul P.'s The Premiere album. :-) B's up!
This is a takeover! B's up!
It's been quite a long time since I did a podcast . . . too long, in fact. I'm in the process of being emmersed in the Soul P. record and believe me, it's going to be a "doosey." This podcast is one that is to hopefully get everyone caught up on the latest behind the scenes and an inside look via questions. Keep sending in those questions in both text and audio formats. Let us know what you think of the sample of the BoSv.3 song included in the podcast. wrgopodcast@gmail.com.
Here's #40 with a studio update on how Soul P.'s "The Premier" is going. God bless and B's up!
Here's a podcast all about recent touring, and my Los Angeles trip!
This is the OFFICIAL word on Soul P. B's up!
This is a location podcast from Panama City, Florida, the place I like to call the "Redneck Riviera" (sorry to all of you guys that live in that area. The picture is the view from our spot on the relatively secluded beach.
What's up y'all. B's up!
This podcast was done a few days ago, but there's some good information in this as well as some pertinent advice coming from the "work horse" himself.
Okay, so it's been since Valentine's Day that I've done a podcast. B's up!
Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours. The picture is of me and my little 7 year old valentine.
Here's a short update to let you guys know what's going on currently with Bobby B. B's up!
It's been a minute since I've done an extensive WRGO podcast. Don't forget "Government Name" by Bobby Bishop, in stores now!
Merry after-Christmas and happy pre-new year! B's up!
Here's podcast #32. B's up!
It's been a while since I brought you guys a formal WRGO podcast. Until next time, . . . B's up!
Whew! Enjoy! B's up!
This is installment number four for our "traveling" man Bobby Bishop. Until next time . . . B's up!
This is podcast #30! Don't hate.
Here's installment number 3 of the "Bobby-cast." B Bish is here letting you know what's going on in his neighborhood, fills you in on what's going on in his career, and drops a bit of knowledge on you spiritually. God bless and B's up!
After about a 10 day hiatus, I FINALLY got around to doing another podcast. Don't laugh!
Here's the second edition of our own Bobby Bishop and a look into what he's into up in the Northeast. B's up!
Today is Wednesday around 5:30 pm. B's up!
Today our guest host is Beatmart's own Bobby Bishop. B's up!
Alright y'all, we've got info and updates dujour. Holler!
Here's podcast #26. B's up!
This is a picture montage from Peru set to music. B's up!
Okay, here it is! Hope you enjoy the show and B's up!
This is the most important podcast that I've done to date. B's up!
Today is the final day of preparation before we have to jet out tomorrow morning to Lima, Peru. We had a great time just having a "guys night out." B's up!
Here's an interview conducted by SameOldJake during the time that Fresh Digress was in Nashville while they were recording. Enjoy! B's up!
This one's a long podcast where you'll find announcements, exclusives, and an interview. B's up!
I'M BACK . . . B's up!
This podcast #20 is a slight look into the history of Beatmart Recordings and a view into its future. God bless and B's up!
Here's podcast #19 . . . an interview with Pettidee done by SonofMack. B's up!
Here's part 2 of 2 in the mother of all WRGO podcasts. B's up!
This is it! B's up!
Here's #17 right on the heels of #16 because we wanted you to hear and experience the heart of Rob Hodge. He's 35 today, so you guys make sure and get on the message boards and wish him a happy birthday.
Alright y'all, this is the end of a 5 day stretch in which we had the Philadelphia Flyers in town to do some photo shoots, recording, and relation building. B's up!
This one's a shortened version just to keep you guys up to date on the happenings around Beatmart. B's up!
Alright guys, here's the downloadable song for the "Big E Song Contest." Download the song and do your version of a song with vocals on it, then send your version back to wrgopodcast@gmail.com to be voted on by myself and Big E. The winner will then be put in touch with "Mr. Nike" for some special gifts. Good luck, and remember the track will not be posted for very long so spread the word. B's up!
This show is chocked full of music, info, questions, etc. Not pictured is; Kevin Dyson (Washington Redskins), Marcus Robertson (Tennessee Titans).
This is #13 brought to you from the road in the car while traveling between meetings. B's up!
What's happenin' y'all. B's up!
Alright y'all. Hope you enjoy and B's up!
It's saturday and I finally got around to getting up another podcast. Have a great weekend and B's up!
This is not a podcast, but i wanted to throw this up here for you guys to enjoy. Let me know what you think at: wrgopodcast@gmail.com
Not a ton going on today and this past weekend. B's up!
Today was an administrative day in which myself and Adrian Santos (our marketing guy) had a meeting with Jeff Roberts about getting our artists on the Shout Fest tour. Send them to: wrgopodcast@gmail.com
Alright y'all . . You guys holler at me! wrgopodcast@gmail.com
This is a special edition podcast that I hope you guys don't find too corny. B's up!
Today was recouperation day from all of the admin stuff that had been going on with the Submissions record. Now, the only thing left is June 14th which is the street date of the record. Thanks for all the support and prayers. Don't forget Bobby's and Pee Wee's records are in stores now, so go check 'em out. The picture is of Pee Wee during part of a photo shoot. Until next time.
After an extremely busy day as usual, I finally got around to getting another podcast out there. B's up!
It's Saturday and I'm still recovering from the hectic GMA schedule. Finally, a day to relatively rest. I'm back to the grind of getting the record done with DJ Morph. The picture to the right is of Manchild (who apparently sweats a lot) & K-Drama (an indie rapper from Cincinnati, OH) at the GMA event "Pass the Mic" last Monday night.
